I find it hard to review Microsoft Press books as they are nearly always the same. At least you can't fault them for consistency!
So, again, another typical exam book that gives you a broad brush across all of the objective areas with the odd error/typo thrown in for good measure. It is good if you are starting off and want to learn a number of new things fast, but you are often reaching for BOL to get that extra bit of information that the book seems to miss out on.

Oh dear oh dear. The saying "If something is too good to be true, then invariably it is" comes to mind after reading a few pages of this book.

I purchased this book to help me through my MCITP but I wasn't entirely happy with it. This book appeals to you as it claims to cover both required exams of the MCITP DBA certification and that was the main selling point to me. However, it does skim through quite a number of areas very quickly, leaving you to go elsewhere to learn that aspect of the technology. There were also a small number of errors in the book, but on the whole it is a good read for what it is.
