And that is 2013

By Art on December 23, 2013

I’ve been blogging for a couple of years now and although I’ve never been a prolific blogger (and never will!), I like to get at least one post out a month. However next year I’m going to try to up my game a little with a couple of ideas that I’ve got to try and take my blog and contribution up a notch. There are very few things that are certain for everybody in life, and one of those is change. We all must change and embrace change to stay fresh and if you don’t change then invariably you get left behind.

The first change is to get my website updated to the latest version of Orchard. I’ve had trouble in the past for some reason, but I’m going to sit down and work through it. I’m hoping the newer versions of Orchard will fix my earlier upgrade issues. That’ll provide a platform then for some of my other ideas going forward.

Looking through my site and the posts that I have created over the past couple of years, it is quite interesting seeing which ones have become the most popular. Posts that I thought may only appeal to a small number have become some of the best read on my site. So thank you for taking the time to read some of them and commenting as well as it’s knowing that they are being read and some finding them useful which makes it worthwhile. More so as I don’t have as much time to be as full on SQL as I’d sometimes like what with a young family and a couple of non-SQL hobbies to keep me busy… although I’m sure that’s not an opinion shared by those that know me 🙂

So that leads me onto the last thing I’m going to say this year:

SELECT ‘Happy Holidays Everybody!’ AS ‘comment()’
FOR XML PATH()

Enjoy!
